Tekashi 60 also known as 6ix9ine, is one of the most famous International rappers and a social media personality. His life has been more of a controversial one, both in terms of career and personal life. The 24 years old rapper, originally named as Daniel Hernandez is popularly known for his colorful aesthetic looks and for the 69 that is tattooed on his face.
Well, Tekashi 69’s career rose to great heights after release of his single ‘Gummo’ and 2018 mixtape ‘Days 69’. He is well known for his hip-hop culture mix such s ‘Kooda’, ‘Keke’ and ‘Gotti’. His Early Life
Tekashi 69 was born in Bushwick, Brooklyn on May 8, 1996. His mother is from Mexico and his father is from Puerto Rico. An interesting story is behind the relationship of Takeshi 69 with his father. Up to 9 years of age, Tekashi thought his father isn’t alive and he never him in those 9 years. Actually, Tekashi’s father was a drug addict and was imprisoned.
Later on, his father claimed that Tekashi’s mother was the one who kept both of them away. However, Tekashi’s family was not very good on financial terms. Especially, the death of his step-father even worsened his financial condition. Tekashi started off an acting student when he was 14. He was expelled from school when he was in the 8th grade. After dropping out from school, Tekashi worked at a grocery store to meet financial expenses of the family.
Tekashi 69 began rapping when he was 16 years old. His career took a huge turn when he met the CEO of a record label in Brooklyn. Peter, the record label executive encouraged Tekashi on releasing his original songs. Tekashi’s first song ‘69’ was out in 2014. During the first three to four years of his rapping career, 6ix9ine made a moderate popularity in the music industry. People started recognizing him. He then released his first debut tape in 2018 titled, ‘Gummo’. Unfortunately, he was also arrested multiple times on various charges.

Tekashi claims that he earned approximately $60,000 per month from his YouTube royalties and live performance fees. A huge part of his income are YouTube ad royalties Spotify royalties and royalties from other music platform. Tekashi also said that he donates 10% of his regular income.
